As some of you may know, writing is currently my side gig and my full-time job is momming. This comes with all the joys and frustrations and responsibilities of mom life, which you can read all the mommy blogs for. All the stuff I’m gonna put here is explanation for why I made the upcoming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One thing I refuse to have happen to my kids is for them to be unable to function in daily life or not know how to take care of basic functions. But also I’m trying to keep chores from being drudgery or a shouting match. In that endeavor, I’ve decided to create a new job board which I hope will pique interest from the kids. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I used the “Reward” font by Billy Argel<\/a> for the headers and Go 2 Old Western by Galdino Otten<\/a> for the rest of the text, then looked for images as a basis (the first was a search for “mop with eyes” and the second “squint dog”) which I then drew over the top of for the images. The plan is that these will be printed, laminated, and posted on a magnetic board (If I can find fun themed magnetic pins, even better) and can then be redeemed when the bounty hunter in question is in want of funds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tokens, incidentally, are in-house exonumia<\/a>1<\/a><\/sup> which are earned for work or exemplary activity and can be exchanged for rewards. Including money, but usually these days for candy. (I’m subtly trying to teach them that saving is valuable; they can trade one token for 2 small pieces of candy but if they save for money, they can buy more. The markup is, as a side effect of their lack of desire to save, also saving me some cash.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hopefully this is enjoyable for them and gets some response.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
